How to Install and Set Up the Nautillo Browser Security Extension

By default, Chrome hides new extensions. Pinning Nautillo makes it easy to see and control.

• Click the puzzle icon (Extensions menu) in Chrome’s top-right corner.
• Find Nautillo in the list.
• Click the pin icon 📌 to keep Nautillo’s shield icon visible in your toolbar.

Click the Nautillo shield icon. You’ll see a short onboarding:

• Enter your email.
• Tick the boxes to agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
• Click Continue.

You’ll get a 6-digit code (OTP) by email. Enter it, then click Verify.

• Didn’t get the code? Click Try again.
• Made a typo? Go back and fix your email.

Once verified, Nautillo automatically turns on core protections:

• Real-time Monitoring
• Privacy Guardian (blocks trackers)
• Smart Logout
• Secure Copy

In Nautillo’s Settings, you can choose how you want to browse:

• Privacy Guardian (ON recommended) → Blocks hidden trackers. Some site features that rely on trackers may not appear. Turn OFF → to see everything (no tracker protection while off).
• Real-time Monitoring (ON recommended) → Continuously checks pages and links you open for risky signals and phishing. Turning it OFF  → reduces protection (and can lower your security score).
• Smart Logout → Logs you out of sensitive sites after inactivity/lock for extra safety
• Secure Copy → Protects your clipboard and auto-clears it after ~10 seconds.

Check your Stats tab to see:

• Your overall security score
• Number of phishing domains blocked
• Suspicious content detected

You can reset stats anytime for a fresh start.
